Linford Ranck

Linford studies the religious and cultural history of early-modern western Europe and is a member of the Jewish Studies cluster. His research focus includes the intersections of cosmopolitanism and provincialism, secularism and religion, and mortality and transcendence in 17th-century Netherlands and Germany. Originally from central Pennsylvania, Linford completed a BA in History at Millersville University. He spent his senior year in Germany where he researched and wrote his undergraduate thesis on Mennonites and the local Enlightenment in Krefeld.
