Yanqiu Zheng

After experimenting with philosophy, education, and sociology ever since college and graduate school, Yanqiu Zheng finally settled down in a history Ph.D. program, which he thinks offers an ideal combination of empirical rigor and theoretical imagination. He is broadly interested in the development of modern Chinese nationalism in the context of Sino-American relations in the twentieth century. Education in his opinion is one such perspective that could shed further light on his interest. In the meantime, he is open to explore other perspectives that could illuminate his understandings of China and the United States in the past century.
