Undergraduate

Minor Requirements

The requirements for a Minor in History consists of 7 History courses at the 1, 2 or 300 level, four of which must be in the area of concentration and three outside the area of concentration. Further, at least three of the seven courses must be at the 300-level, and at least two of the courses in the concentration must be at the 300-level.

The areas of concentration for the Minor are:

  • Europe (including Britain)
  • United States
  • Latin America
  • Asia
  • Middle East
  • Africa

In order to declare a Minor in History, you MUST see an afternoon advisor in the History Department.

Current WCAS policy states that courses offered by other institutional participants in the Semester On-Line Program may count as elective credit toward graduation, but that individual departments or programs determine whether these courses count toward majors or minors. The History Department will not credit these or any other on line courses toward the major or minor, including as related courses.
